Our Operations team is responsible for everything having to do with the flow of physical products we sell including product development, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality control, inventory processing, shipping and customer service. Within Operations, our inventory processing team is responsible for receiving shipments, examining and testing parts, assembling kits, stocking products all while keeping our warehouse and processing areas clean, organized, and optimized for efficiency.  

This position will lead our kitting and assembly department within operations by managing the kitting projects and day-to-day inventory processing needs while maintaining and utilizing proper inventory management practices.. The ideal candidate must have the ability to learn quickly and remember details. Integrity, reliability, and respect for your fellow team members are also a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage the kitting and assembly team of 6-10 people
  • Work very closely with the Inventory Operations Manager (whom you’ll report to) to develop and revise standard operational and working practices for the kitting department
  • Work closely with  the parts processing/testing coordinators, purchasing department, and product development
  • Review and evaluate employees' performance, including hiring, disciplining, training, motivating and mentoring employees on your team
  • Ensure that products are kept in stock, and are kitted correctly and efficiently
  • Ensure that inventory is properly stocked, packaged, stored and handled, including keeping our ERP system accurate
  • Lead and support problem solving / troubleshooting efforts around process, equipment, and scheduling
  • Train and develop staff on processes, procedures, and quality assurance
  • Ensure team members are in compliance with standards.

  • 1-3+ years of experience in similar type of work (manufacturing, kitting/assembly, warehousing)
  • 1-3+ years of managerial experience

This position is at our conveniently located San Luis Obispo headquarters. We are looking to fill a full-time position effective immediately. We will not accept part-time applicants. Approximate hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.
